Vanuatu: Adventurer duo Rafael Zugno Bridi and ALexander Schulz entered into the Guinness World Records book by creating a record for the longest walk on a rope over an active volcano, The Economic Times reported.

The Guinness World Records also shared a thrilling video of the duo slacklining over the volcano, sending chills down the spine. Both men can be seen wearing gas masks and helmets balancing themselves atop a rope tied to it by a harness and bungee cord as the volcano beneath them can be seen belching red hot flames.

Both Bridi and Schulz completed a 261-metre-long slacklining over the volcano to create a world record.

After making the record, Rafael posted a photo on Instagram and wrote - “This photo with the lava bombs exploding behind me demonstrates how much passion and dedication it takes to get such a dream off the ground. Balancing on a slackline within this context was not easy and that's why it was so significant.”

At Wanfo Lake in Lu'an, Anhui, China, on May 19, 2017, Julian Mittermaier (Germany) completed the longest slackline walk over water, measuring 674.18 metres.

The longest slackline walk was 2,130 metres (6,988 feet) long and was completed by Quirin Herterich, Lukas Irmler, Ruben Langer, and Friedi Kühne over the Lapporten valley in Sweden's Abisko National Park.
